Operation: Rewatch - April 30, 2009.

Hey guys, I'm making a blog here about a small project I'm a part of. It's called "Operation Rewatch." You can find more information in the post below:

To anyone of interest. Knighthawkdc and CB2001 (aka Codebreaker2001) will be hosting an unofficial and informal gathering for rewatching episodes of "Battlestar Galactica". The name of the viewing/chat will be called "Operation: Rewatch". Now, when we mean unofficial, we mean that that site that the chat will be hosted at, BSGPilots, will be where the chat is but is not an official BSGPilots project (an official rewatch by BSGPilots may come some time later, but the chat that we'll be doing is no official). If you're not already a registered user at BSGPilots, that's okay, the registration is free.

Also, there are a couple of points of order that you should be aware of when it comes to the rewatch. Here are the points:

Point 1 - Project: Rewatch will begin on April 30. Since we are starting off with the first mini-series, the start time for the viewing of the mini-series at 8 o'clock pm, EST (Eastern Standard Time). For regular episode rewatches, it will be Thursdays at 9 pm EST.

Point 2- Newbies to BSG in general are welcomed, however, you should be aware that the chats may contain major spoilers to events in the series that appear later on. So, I stress heavily: If you DO NOT want to be spoiled to what is to come, DO NOT come into the chat.

Point 3- When it comes to the order of the show for Operation: Rewatch", for Season 2, we're going to change it up a bit by including the TV-movie "Razor" as a part of the Season 2 viewing setup. Which means, that after "Captain's Hand", we will then watch "Razor" before moving on to "Downloaded", seeing that "Razor" takes place in between the two.

Point 4: We will be watching the unrated/extended versions of episodes presented. So, when it comes to Season 2's "Pegasus", we will be watching the extended version. For "Razor", we will be watching the Unrated Extended version. And for Season 3's "Unfinished Business", we will also be watching the Ron Moore extended cut.

Update for the rewatch this upcoming Friday and Saturday. As of right now, BSGPilots is having a problem and may not be available tomorrow and Saturday. However, we will be using the Protoss Defense Forces' chat room as a backup. Another update for you guys!: For those who want to join in on the rewatch, but are unable to make it on Friday Night, you are in luck!

We will end up having an Encore rewatch on Saturday night, 9 pm, Eastern Standard Time, and the encore watch will be of the episode watched on Friday. The next episode we will be watching is "Litmus". I, sadly, will not be available at the Encore rewatch due to class and lab on Saturday. But Knight will be present. Catch y'all there. :D

New Update: Due to the lack of people coming into the room of Thursday, it's been determined that we need a time where people may more than likely be able to be available to join into the Rewatch. So, we now have it at the day of Fridays at 9 o'clock Eastern Standard Time, which is the same time the show used to be broadcasted (so it's easy to remember). Hope to see a lot of you there! :D

New Update: Due to a bit of a family emergency (nothing really drastic, but it's important) and my class, I will not be able to make the rewatch on Thursday at 9 p and my availability for Friday is not possible. Also, due to Knight's plans on going to see "Angels & Demons" on Saturday night, the only other night that's available for us is Sunday night at 9 o'clock. However, after that, every Thursday after that will be the normal viewing at 9 pm. If there are any other updates, I'll be more than happy to update.
