So this sunday's episode is the where something very dramatic is supposed to happen to Starbuck. There is speculation that Katee Sackhoff might be taking a break from the show.
I believe something big is going to happen and she'll be out a number of episodes. I just hope Lee isn't stupid enough to continue to pine over Star Buck when he's married to a pretty cool gal.
I think it's gonna be either she dies or finds earth. I think it's more likely that she will find earth in a weird way... some glitch on a raptor or some such during one a vision that will allow her to both get to her "destiny" and also disappear from the show for a while. :-) It's been confirmed in multiple times that she isn't in the credits for the last three episodes of this season (which start after next).
I don't think any of the original female characters will be shown to be Cylons... Otherwise, they would have tried to breed with the humans. Mixed babies are important to them...
Unless of course they are so deeply imbeded, that even they don't know.
Was Kara ever sampled by Baltar for his Cylon blood test? I thought that Baltar's first order in Season one was to test everyone on Galactica.
Well I think Starbuck will be "killed off" in some manner. According to a January 19th article in the Hollywood North report (by way of SyFy Portal) producer David Weddle is quoted as saying "We will experience the devasting loss of a much loved character who is central to Galactica, and it will shake the crew to the core." http://www.hollywoodnorthreport.com/article.php?Article=4001
Although its not canon and not meaning to dredge up bad memories but in an episode of Galactica 1980 there is a flashback storyline with Dirk Benedict reprising his role as Starbuck. Now it's been more thatn 25 years since I saw the episode but I believe Starbuck crashed on a planet after a dog fight with a Cylon raider. He and the surviving Cylon rescue an infant later known as Dr. Z. Somehow the two of them manage to send the child back to the Galactica and as the child grows it leads the fleet to Earth. Presumbly Starbuck perishes on the planet.
Since the reimaged series has stayed somewhat faithful to the basic storyline of the original it would not be unprecedented for Starbuck to be "killed off" especially in light of what Mr. Weddle says and from some of the comments each of you has made.
Spoiler alerts. Well Rumoured spolier alert
Well she meets her destiny. Does it mean death, she is one of the five, or will return next year. or even this. The last 3 epsodes are supposed to tie up some store lines, continue a few and creat one or two. Lucky the were extended they got a lot of questions, etc to answer.
The cast signed forms to not let out any information in the future episodes.
